Rhemercise FAST*
The intended meaning is ‘quick’ but the pun is intended as in Lenten Fast or Ramadan Fast where you skip a meal.
Spread before you o the table, is an elaborate feast, from juicy steak, honey dripping pork chops, and so on
Standing with a plate in the right hand you have Viktor Frankal’s space i.e. less than 15 seconds to walk away to the ‘Salad Bar”
“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lie our growth and our freedom.” Viktor E. Frankl
Step 1.
If you are holding the plate in your right hand, with the left index finger, feel the faint pulse in front of the tragus of your ear and count them, “1001, 1002, 1003′ for 3 or 4 pulses.
Step 2. Take a deep breath and breathe out slowly as you speak Smiling to yourself gently but firmly, “Relax Now, Kick the craving Now, Relax Now’ (One word for each pulse, 8words, 8 pulses)
Step 3.
The smiling as you speak is first, Mona Lisa smile, then ear to ear smile, and finally the induced Duchenne Smile, progressively.
Step 4.
As you breathe in slowly with the index finger still on the pulse, ‘meditate or muse’ the same words, one pulse for one word, “Relax Now, Kick the craving Now, Relax Now’ (One word for each pulse, 8words, 8 pulses)
Step 5
Simultaneously, voluntarily yawn either with mouth closed or open. As you do so, stretch your back drawing back your shoulders, like ‘yawn’ these movements enhance parasympathetic augmentation.
